Time for the Dublin post! We didn’t get to spend very much time in Dublin, but I loved every single second. Here are some highlights:
To get to Dublin we had to get a connecting flight in London and we had a few hours in between our two flights. When we landed we decided to go through security and then eat and relax. While eating, Tyne noticed there was an earlier Ryan Air flight to Dublin and decided we should go ask if there was extra room on the flight for us. In doing so, we were told that we had not checked in at the very beginning and did not get a Ryan Air company stamp on our boarding pass. Without that stamp we would be fined 100 pounds. Thank goodness Tyne asked! We had to get escorted through security to get back to the beginning to get the Ryan Air stamp and also got an embarrassing red stamp on our boarding passes that would allow us to get back through security again. We also were so early that we couldn't check in right away and had to wait for 2 hours at a Starbucks. Basically, we were taught a huge lesson by Ryan Air, the worst airline in the world.
Tyne and I had just spent the previous part of the break on our own, and we were so excited to be staying with other people we knew! We were so excited that we even decided to go on the same bus tour as the other group. Unfortunately, we booked separately and booked the wrong tour, so it ended up just being us 2 on our tour. We made friends though and it was really fun and beautiful, but the one time we try to be social we fail. Of course.
Tyne and I got an awesome hair flip AND jumping picture on the bus tour!
Our tour also included the bridge where Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler met in PS I Love You!
Outline of Dublin- We got there Thursday night pretty late, met up with our friends, and then went to eat at an Irish Bar. This place was so great and they even had a group of people doing Irish dancing! Some older men very kindly taught us a dance, so I can perform it for you if you ask ;) After that place we just kinda walked around and went into a few pubs. Friday morning we had to wake up early to go on the bus tour. It was absolutely beautiful! We got to see a lot since the tour was all day and I highly recommend going on one if you’re ever in Dublin. Just look at the pictures and that’ll convince anyone. That night we met up with friends again and went to a few pubs. There are so many there and the night life was so incredibly fun! The Irish people were so nice and friendly also from the city bus driver to the restaurant worker who let us use the restroom without paying. Ireland is just so great overall and I wish I could spend more time there! It was the perfect ending to a spring break I will never forget!
I am actually leaving in about 3 hours to go to Paris for the weekend, so another post is coming soon!
